Cookie Policy.

What cookies and similar technologies we use, why, and how you can control them.

Last updated: 29 May 2026

In short: we don't use tracking or advertising cookies. We use a small amount of sessionStorage to make the chatbot and booking modal work, and our hosting provider (Cloudflare) sets one security cookie to protect the site from bots. No analytics, no pixels, no cross-site tracking.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored in your browser when you visit a website. They can be used to make a site work, remember your preferences, analyse usage, or track you across sites for advertising. Similar technologies include localStorage, sessionStorage, and pixel tags.

The law in short

Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and UK GDPR, we must:

  • Tell you what cookies we use and why
  • Get your consent before setting non-essential cookies
  • Let you change your mind at any time

Strictly necessary cookies, things required for the site to function or for security, don't need consent.

What we use on this site

Strictly necessary, no consent required

Name Provider Purpose Lifetime
flownest_chat_session FlowNest (first-party, sessionStorage) Gives the chatbot a session ID so it can maintain a conversation within one tab. Until you close the tab
flownest_lead_captured FlowNest (first-party, sessionStorage) Remembers that you've filled in the chatbot lead form so you don't have to do it again if you reload the page in the same session. Until you close the tab
__cf_bm Cloudflare (third-party) Bot management, distinguishes humans from automated traffic to protect the site from abuse and DDoS attacks. Strictly necessary for security. 30 minutes
cf_clearance Cloudflare (third-party) Set if Cloudflare asks you to verify you're human. Confirms the challenge has been passed. 30 minutes
flownest_cookie_consent FlowNest (first-party, localStorage) Remembers your cookie preferences so we don't keep asking you. 12 months

Analytics, only if you accept

Two tools run, and neither loads until you press Accept on the cookie banner. Decline and no request is made to either provider at all.

  • Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-9H8MX9ZMQH). Sets cookies beginning _ga, typically lasting up to two years, recording pages viewed, approximate location at city level, device type and how you arrived. IP anonymisation is on, and advertising storage, ad personalisation and ad user data are all set to denied, so this is not used to build an advertising profile of you.
  • Microsoft Clarity (project xswvd690mk). Records anonymised interaction data such as mouse movement, clicks and scrolling, so we can see heatmaps and replays of how pages are used. Sets its own cookies, typically lasting up to one year. Anything you type into the booking form or the chat window is masked and never recorded.

Still not used

  • Meta / Facebook Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, TikTok Pixel, etc.
  • Advertising or remarketing cookies of any kind
  • Cross-site tracking for advertising purposes
  • Selling or sharing your data with anyone

If this ever changes, we'll update this page and, where consent is required, ask you before setting any such cookies.

Manage your preferences

You can clear your preference and re-open the cookie banner using the button below:

You can also control cookies through your browser settings, most browsers let you view, delete, and block cookies from specific sites. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may break parts of this site.

  • Chrome
  • Safari
  • Firefox
  • Edge

Third-party services

Some parts of our site or related services may cause third parties to set cookies when you interact with them:

  • Telegram: if you click the Telegram launcher, Telegram's own platform may set their cookies. Governed by Telegram's privacy policy.
  • Google Fonts: our website loads fonts from Google Fonts. Google may log the request (including your IP address) to serve the font. No cookies are set by this.
  • Calendar providers (where used): when a booking is confirmed and a calendar invite is sent, the provider on the receiving end (e.g. Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook) may apply its own cookies under its own terms.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when we change how the site works. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.

Cookies & your privacy

We use a few essential cookies to keep the site, chatbot and booking working, plus bot protection. We'd also like to use anonymised analytics to understand which pages people find useful. Read our cookie policy.
