FlowNest is an AI engineering and automation studio based in Leeds, West Yorkshire. We design, build and run bespoke AI systems for UK businesses: AI agents, agentic engines and the workflow automation that connects them to the tools a company already uses.
The word agency usually implies a menu. Pick a package, get a template, hope it fits. That is not how this works. Every system we deliver is engineered around a specific operation, because the interesting problems in a business are never the generic ones. They live in the handoffs, the exceptions, the spreadsheet somebody maintains by hand every Friday afternoon.
We are deliberately small and deliberately technical. The person who scopes your project is the person who architects it. There is no layer of account management between you and the engineering.

The model is the easy part
Anyone can call an API. The engineering that makes a model dependable in daily business use is the knowledge grounding, the memory, the permissioned tool access, the failure handling and the monitoring. That is where the real work sits, and that is what we build.
Automation should survive contact with reality
A demo that works once is not a system. Live processes hit malformed inputs, downtime, edge cases and people doing things nobody predicted. We design for the failure modes first, because that is what determines whether a system is still running in six months.
No manufactured dependency
We document the architecture and hand it over cleanly. Your data and business information remain yours, and every package includes a permanent licence to use the delivered system. Complete source-code and IP transfer is available through Full Handover. No proprietary black box, no hostage situation, no dependency we built on purpose.
Sometimes the answer is no
Not every process should be automated. Some are too rare to justify the build, some need judgement that should stay human, and some just need a better spreadsheet. We will tell you when that is the case, even though the honest answer is the one that loses us the project.
Leeds first, UK wide.
We are based in Leeds and work in person across West Yorkshire: Bradford, Wakefield, Huddersfield, Halifax, Harrogate and York. Being local matters for discovery sessions, where sitting with the people who actually do the work usually surfaces more in two hours than a fortnight of emails.
Beyond Yorkshire, a large share of our work is delivered remotely for clients across the UK, including Manchester, Sheffield and London. Discovery runs perfectly well over video, and the systems themselves do not care where they are deployed.
We work across regulated and non-regulated sectors, including financial services, healthcare-adjacent operations, professional services, construction and field services. Where compliance obligations apply, we design the audit trail and the human checkpoints in from the start rather than retrofitting them.
Infrastructure you can actually inspect.
Systems run either on FlowNest managed infrastructure or entirely on yours, and that is a genuine choice rather than a sales line. Some clients want the whole thing hosted, monitored and maintained by us. Others have data that cannot leave their estate, and for those we build dedicated infrastructure in-house.
Either way you get monitoring, logging, budget caps on model usage and a clean handover document. You can see what the system did, what it cost and why it made the decision it made.
